Braai Pizza Sandwich

I wrote about this amazing trick recipe that takes less than 5 minutes to prepare calle a Braai (BBQ) Pizza. And is so quick to make:

Take 2 pizza bought from any shop. The ones with all the toppings that you just put in the oven. Options are Magaritha (cheese and tomato) with Spinach and Feta. Mexican and Pulled Pork or whatever tickles your fancy. You can even use plain and add your own toppings. We went for Hawaiian and extra toppings.

Place the first pizza on a grid. Add you toppings if you so wish - jalapeno slices, veggies whatever you want. We added leftover steak sliced super thin.

We also added some onion relish to bring out the sweetness of the pineapple. We didn't add any heat as the Little One was going to enjoy this with us. If you have a few people do one with heat and one without.

Add the second pizza on top. If you buy the pizza's that can be baked directly from frozen then this works great. If not place it right side up on a plate. Put another place on top and invert. Slowly slide it on top of the other pizza.

Over medium heat, bake it until both bases are crispy on the outside and the cheese is melted in the middle. Using a braai grid ("rooster") makes it easy to turn it so that it doesn't burn.

Remove, cut into slices and enjoy as is or with a salad for a complete meal. Such a nice change from doing normal sandwiches or "braaibroodjies".
